Weekly Wrap-Up: Sickness, Soundtracks, and Sunday Blessings
Share
Whew — what a week! If you’ve ever had illness sweep through your home like a surprise tornado, then you know exactly how our week started. Between coughs, tissues, extra naps, and lots of prayers, we powered through as a family. It wasn’t the easiest way to kick things off, but there’s always comfort in knowing God brings peace even in the sniffles and chaos.
By mid-week we were ready to get out of the house, and we had the chance to visit a local church’s Judgement House. The experience was powerful — emotional, thought-provoking, and such a heartfelt reminder of the importance of living our lives with purpose, compassion, and faith. It definitely gave us plenty to reflect on and be grateful for.
Then came a major highlight… Lainey Wilson in concert! I got to see her with my best friend, and let me tell you — she did not disappoint. From the energy to the lyrics that hit you right in the soul, it was one of those nights that refuels your spirit (and your playlist). There’s nothing like good country music, friendship, and memories that will be talked about for years.
We wrapped things up the best way we know how — another amazing Sunday at church. Fellowship, worship, and community always feel like the reset button the week needs. It’s the perfect reminder that no matter how crazy life gets, God’s presence is steady and constant.
Illness, inspiration, country concerts, and church family — this week may have been a blend of it all, but we’re grateful for every moment.
Here’s to healing, laughter, friendship, and faith leading the way.
Until next week, stay blessed and keep your hearts shielded. 🤍
