July Celebrations

A Star-Spangled Week Full of Family, Fun, and Fireworks

This past week was the kind that fills your heart and reminds you what life’s really about—family, simple joys, and soaking up every memory.

July 4th was small-town magic.
We started the day at our local parade, which is one of my favorite traditions. There's just something so special about watching the floats roll by, waving flags, seeing familiar faces, and feeling that old-fashioned sense of community pride. The kids loved grabbing candy and waving at the fire trucks, and the weather couldn’t have been better.

The rest of the day was spent poolside—exactly where you want to be in the July heat. We grilled out with family, laughed a lot, and let the day unfold at its own pace. Burgers, sunshine, and cannonballs—it doesn’t get much better.

July 5th was all about celebrating my dad.
We got together for a birthday lunch with family to honor one of the best men we know. My dad has always been the rock of our family—steady, loving, and always putting others first. It was a simple meal, but full of stories, laughter, and all the things that matter most. Later that evening, we caught a beautiful fireworks show—one more burst of celebration to cap off the holiday and my dad’s special day.

Then this past Wednesday, we packed up and headed to Dollywood!
Dollywood never disappoints. From the rides to the music to the food (hello cinnamon bread!), it was a day packed with excitement and a whole lot of walking. It’s one of our favorite places to visit, and every time we go, we leave a little more tired and a lot more grateful for the time together.

Looking back, this week wasn’t just busy—it was beautiful. A reminder that the best memories aren’t made from extravagant trips or perfect plans, but from being present, soaking in the moment, and surrounding yourself with the people you love most.

Here’s to more summer days like these ☀️🇺🇸💙
