Back to School, Big Changes & Family Memories ❤️

August has been a busy month in our family, and as I look back on everything we've been up to, I'm reminded just how quickly life changes.

Between back-to-school season, homeschooling, a family beach vacation, exciting career milestones, and a big milestone for our daughter, there has been plenty to celebrate!

📚 Back to School — Homeschool Style!

It's back-to-school time around here, but our school year looks a little different.

We're homeschooling! ❤️

Homeschooling brings its own unique challenges, but it also gives us the opportunity to slow down, learn together, and create a school experience that works for our family.

There is something special about starting a new school year with a fresh perspective. New supplies, new goals, new routines, and plenty of prayers for patience and wisdom along the way! 😂🙏

Whether your children are headed back to a traditional classroom, you're homeschooling, or you're somewhere in between, I hope this school year brings your family growth, memories, and lots of reasons to celebrate.

🌊 A Family Getaway to Navarre Beach

Before diving completely into the school-year routine, we were able to take a family beach vacation to Navarre Beach.

And let me tell you—we needed it! ❤️

There is just something about getting away with your family, feeling the sand between your toes, listening to the waves, and stepping away from the everyday busyness.

Our time at Navarre Beach gave us an opportunity to relax, laugh, spend time together, and make memories that we'll be talking about for years to come.

Family time is something I never want to take for granted.

Life moves so quickly, and these moments together are the ones that matter.

🎖️ A Proud Army Mom Moment

This month also brought a very special celebration for me as a mom.

My son, who serves in the Army, was promoted! 🇺🇸❤️

There aren't enough words to describe the pride that comes with watching your child serve our country and work hard to move forward in their career.

Being an Army Mom means there are plenty of moments when you worry, pray, and miss them.

But there are also moments like this—moments when you get to celebrate their accomplishments and say:

"That's my son, and I couldn't be prouder." 🇺🇸

Congratulations on your promotion! Keep working hard, keep leading, and know that your mama is always cheering you on.

👮♂️ Another Big Career Change

We also got some exciting news from my son who works in law enforcement.

He recently joined a new agency, and we're incredibly proud of him as he begins this new chapter.

A career in law enforcement takes dedication, courage, and a willingness to serve others.

As a mom, I couldn't be prouder of the man he's become and the commitment he has made to serving his community.

We're excited to see where this next chapter takes him!

🚗 Another Milestone: Our Daughter Got Her Learner's Permit!

And then there's our daughter, who reached a milestone that makes a mama realize just how quickly time is passing...

She got her learner's permit! 🚗❤️

How did we get here so fast?!

It seems like just yesterday we were doing all the little-kid things, and now we're talking about driving!

It's exciting, a little nerve-wracking, and definitely a reminder that our babies don't stay babies forever.

We're looking forward to watching her learn, gain confidence, and eventually become an independent driver.

Of course, we're also preparing ourselves for those first few months of riding in the passenger seat! 😂

❤️ A Season Full of Gratitude

When I look at everything that happened this month, I see so many reminders of how blessed we are.

We've had:

📚 A new homeschool year
🌊 A family beach vacation
🎖️ A son's Army promotion
👮♂️ A new law enforcement agency
🚗 A daughter's learner's permit
❤️ And countless family moments in between

Not every season of life looks the same, and sometimes life feels like it's moving a million miles an hour.

But I'm learning to stop and appreciate the little things—the big accomplishments, the family vacations, the milestones, the laughs, and even the chaotic moments.

Because one day, we'll look back and realize these were the days.

✝️ Keeping God at the Center

Through all of these changes, one thing remains constant: our faith.

As we begin another school year, navigate new careers, celebrate accomplishments, and watch our children grow, we're trusting God with every step.

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." — Proverbs 16:3
