A Week of Fun and Family

This week was one of those full-heart, slow-it-down-and-soak-it-in kind of weeks over here at Shielded Hearts Clothing Co. — and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

🛍️ A Little Shopping + A Lot of Inspiration

We spent some time out shopping this week — and you know I can’t walk through a store without getting inspired. Colors, textures, little details… it all sparks ideas for future drops. Fall is whispering, y’all, and I’m already dreaming up cozy layers, meaningful graphics, and pieces that feel like home.

As always, I’m reminded that this business isn’t just about clothing. It’s about stories. It’s about seasons. It’s about what we’re walking through — together.

💕 A Big Mama Moment

This week also held a big milestone for our family… my daughter went on her very first date.

How is that even possible?

It feels like just yesterday I was braiding her hair and packing her lunch. Watching her grow into a confident, beautiful young woman has been one of my greatest blessings. There’s something about these “firsts” that tug at a mama’s heart — equal parts proud and emotional.

Parenting teenagers is a whole different chapter, and I’m learning to hold on loosely while praying fiercely.

🎉 Birthday Weekend with Our Granddaughters

And if that wasn’t enough sweetness for one week, we had our two granddaughters stay the weekend to celebrate their birthdays!

Our house was filled with giggles, snacks, movie time, and all the little moments that remind you what really matters. There is nothing like being “Nana.” It’s a different kind of love — softer, sweeter, and somehow even more emotional.

We celebrated big, loved hard, and made memories I’ll treasure forever.

As I reflect on this week, I’m reminded why I built Shielded Hearts Clothing Co. in the first place — after heartbreak, after change, after taking a leap of faith and moving to Tennessee. Family is everything. Faith is our foundation. And this business was built to support both.
